She uploaded the finished short to YouTube before boarding began. A traditional animation studio would need a team, two months and roughly $40,000 to produce the same kind of video. She did it beside an airport charging outlet with a phone in one hand. The production advantage is no longer owning a studio. It is knowing what to show the machine.
