A YEAR, THROUGH TWO LENSES
BaZi changes its year at Lichun and its month at twelve jie solar terms. Calendar months organize the page, not the calculation.
Compare your natal Sun with transiting Jupiter and Saturn. One calculated snapshot per month, with its limits kept in view.
Bring independent readings into a question and a small action. Modern synthesis does not mean the two systems verify each other.

A snapshot ≠ a month's forecastChecks Jupiter/Saturn at 12:00 UTC on the 15th against the natal Sun at 0°, 60°, 90°, 120° and 180°. No search for entry, exit or whole-month transit windows.
METHOD & BOUNDARIES
This guide follows the BaZi convention of changing years at Lichun: January 1, 2027 through pre-Lichun remains Bing-wu 丙午; Ding-wei 丁未 begins at Lichun. The Hong Kong Observatory lists February 4 at 09:46 Hong Kong time (UTC+8, minute precision). Lunar New Year is February 6. They are different boundaries. The BaZi convention is not an Observatory endorsement of divination.
Twelve jie terms change the monthly pillar: Xiaohan, Lichun, Jingzhe, Qingming, Lixia, Mangzhong, Xiaoshu, Liqiu, Bailu, Hanlu, Lidong and Daxue. Intermediate terms such as Yushui do not. Each term is one global instant, stored in UTC and converted for display, never shifted by birthplace longitude. Calendar months start at 00:00 UTC, so segment edges can display at a different local hour or date. Segments include their start and exclude their end; times display to the minute.
This free first edition has a defined scope: BaZi solar-term year/month pillars and the monthly heavenly stem's Ten God relative to the Day Master; astrology snapshots of Jupiter/Saturn against the natal Sun at 12:00 UTC on each month's 15th, five major aspects, 3° orb. Snapshots can miss passages within a month. There are no precise entry/exit windows, houses, ascendant, Moon, return charts or full natal transits.
The public solar-term calendar and natal references that remain stable across the whole local birth date. No noon is inserted, and hour pillar, ascendant, houses and Moon are omitted. Solar-term, true-solar-day or Sun-sign boundary uncertainties stay blank. The Sun range uses day boundaries and half-hourly samples: a finite-precision range check.
